Game of the Relationship Workshop Description
Struggle to Find the Game? Let’s Fix That.
Do you love playing the game but sometimes have trouble spotting it—or getting your scene partner on the same page? This workshop is for you.
You’ll start by learning how to find your character’s game first. Then, you’ll challenge your partner’s game, building playful tension that drives the scene. From there, it’s all about repeating, heightening, and using the game to define your onstage relationship.
By the end, you’ll walk away with a clear understanding:
-
Improv is about playing.
-
Agreement builds the relationship.
-
Justification reveals the game.
When all three are working together, you can stretch the game longer, rest it, return to it—and play smarter.
Checkmate: Game Part 2 Workshop Description
Power, Status, and Dynamics in Improv! Every move matters. Every look shifts the board.
In Part 2 of Game of the Relationship, we dive deeper into the rich terrain of power, status, and unspoken dynamics that drive unforgettable scenes. This workshop isn't about dominating — it’s about discovering the intricate push and pull between characters. Who holds the reins? Who’s bluffing? Who’s about to make a bold move?
Through sharp, playful, and insightful exercises, you'll explore:
-
The subtle (and not-so-subtle) language of status
-
Power struggles that ignite real dramatic tension
-
How shifts in dynamics can turn a simple scene into a standing ovation
-
Whether you're building tension, flipping hierarchies, or playing silent games of control, this is where the real drama — and the real comedy — lives.
Are you ready to make your move?
