On hallowed ground, silence holds its breath. On Hallowed Ground is improvised theater that unearths stories inspired by the audience and the haunting imagery of the graveyard. Using evocative photography of graveyards and other sacred spaces as inspiration, each performance invites you into a world where love, loss, and laughter linger beyond the veil. What rises in the moment soon fades — yet the echoes remain.

Inspired by Mementos De La Vida directed by Patti Styles as well as Living, Dying, Dead created by Rhiannon Griswold-Jenkins and Owen Scrivens. For those who have gone before us. 

 

On Hallowed Ground would be directed and performed by Karla Dingle with a curated cast either by the director, the festival or the theater.
